The full moon tonight is at perigee, or the closest it will be to earth all year. It appears 14% larger and 30% brighter. Moonrise last night (2010 January 29) in Minnesota.
We have been charging and awakening the sacrum, the small intestine, the triple energizer meridian, and the prefrontal lobe. Last night as we slept, our bodies naturally began to take in the most energetically powerful full moon of the year. The energy gathered around and in our aural field. Now, it is our awakening of this month’s labyrinth that will allow this energy to move into the spaces in our bodies in which it belongs.
This month, we walk and work on the underlying issue of lost soul essence, lost "permission to have". This begins when a light transfer from the optic nerve of the mother does not get transferred to the baby at birth.
For the next few days, know that your aural field has been infused with the reflective light of your own soul essence, brilliance, and genius. Side note: The lighting of birthday candles comes from this understanding; it evolved that candles were lit to represent the genius of the soul in the body.
Over the next three days, take a few minutes each day to do your embodied practice. If you are not one of my students sit relaxed and work with the pause in your breath. This time, on the pause between inhale and exhale, wait 5-10 seconds in the pause. Place pressure on your thumb to pointer finger connection in the pause and, in that silence, just let yourself be aware of the energy of your reflective self which was gifted to you from the closeness of the moon.
Ever accepting, Kiera

Thank you for this practice. I was feeling a grief of something missing, but had a hard time figuring it out. I cleaned, grounded, and used the tools from class. Then I read this and it helped me get in touch the what and why underneath the surface issues that came up.
ReplyDeleteI am thankful you are posting these practices and transitions. It helps me to remember the beauty of the universe and how it effects us. It also helps guide me through the transitions and emergence.
Regarding moon phases:
ReplyDelete"Waxing" is a gradual increase in magnitude - from the new moon until the full moon, the moon is waxing.
"Waning" is a gradual decrease in magnitude - from the full moon until the new moon, the moon is waning.
I am very thankful for all the postings. I feel I can keep up on all the different things going on. Other than class I can get on here and see all updates on different things.
ReplyDeleteOne question what is a waxing moon?
Hi Kiera,
ReplyDeleteI wanted to share that after class I noticed I was feeling so very "heartened" (in the truest sense of the word, considering what we talked about in class!) and peaceful. It's so comforting to know that our embodied connection to real power and peace comes from and IS the natural order of being, based on simple, energetic laws of the universe.
One of your Ever-grateful Students, Dawn :)
Thanks, Dawn!
